List of Accomplishments:
Since 2000 the Malawi Project has helped to build a 100 bed hospital. In the past two years over $ 52 million dollars in medical aid has been shipped to 144 Malawi government hospitals. In 2004 a food production plant was completed, and in the following 12 months over 11 million meals were processed and supplied to orphans, widows, and needy people. In 2005 a children's home was opened that by the end of the year was already housing 75 children. A literature ministry has supplied over 250,000 pieces of literature to the nation in the past three years.
Future Goals:
In 2006 it is planned to complete a surgery center by the hospital and to carry out the first surgery mission teams. Plans include completion of an additional 5 units to the chldren's village, and the addition of 75 more children to the village. Plans call for increased the production from the food plant to reach 15 million meals produced and distributed.
Current Needs:
All types of medical supplies, since the ministry is supplying 144 Malawi hosptials with medical aid and support. Toothpaste, Toothbrushes for the village children, as bleeding gums and families using the same toothbrush is a cntributor to HIV/AIDS. Linens, washcloths, and handtowels for the children in the children's village, and in the hospital.
