This is a new congregation in many ways. Besides of having personal Bible studies, we have already started a program with the city's orphanages. We also are renting a place for the church to meet right at the heart of downtown (this last one thanks to some help from the Mountain Home Congregation in AR.)
Future Goals:
We have many reasonable and attainable goals for this new year of 2006. We are planning to grow and expand our work with the orphanage's authorities in town, work with the children in these facilities, hold the Summer Bible School, attend the Pan-European Lectureship (for further training and encouragement), and keep on teaching the Bible, being an example in both as Christians and in our marriage, as we also counsel couples and families in this area.
Current Needs:
At present, we need $100 for paying utilities. As I mentioned before, we are already getting help for renting the church meeting place, but without extra for utilities.
Another area of help is getting some funds to make a work fund for the church. Currently, my wife and I spend out of our pockets to purchase Bibles and fund some church related activities. We gladly do it, but as we grow, then we will need more funds.
Also at present, we don't have a sponsoring nor overseeing congregations. Instead, we are working in close connection with the Budapest congregation and some friends in the States.
We really need more workers over here! May the Lord be gracious to us and send us some.
