It has grown from a few members of one family in July 2001 to a high recent attendance of about 260. There were about 30 baptisms in January '04.
Future Goals:
Spread the gospel of Christ-They are also working with leaders of a movement of Muslims to the gospel of Christ centered in Phnom Phen, Cambodia. At least one congregation of over 600 has been established in this population since January of 2003.
Current Needs:
Help in learning the gospel more completely. Information is shared by phone between Christians in Stockton, Ca. and the leadership of this congregation. The Muslim movement has adopted the World English Correspondant courses by Dick Ady for training their leadership. All are largely self supporting.There are a lot of poorly trained Christians in Cambodia. Sunset International Bible Institute is considering help. Support, encouraging their help here.
Additional Information:
The sister-in-law of the king of Cambodia is a member of the church of Christ and is supporting several other congregations in Cambodia. Many people in high places have been baptized into Christ and will encourage mission work started by the churches of Christ.
