Tabaka Church of Christ is among the 18 churches of Christ in Gusii land. Tabaka is probably the first church of Christ congregation which was started in 1977 in the Gusii land of western Kenya. Gusii land has a population of about 2 million people. The Kisii people who speak "Ekegusii", the mother tongue are the inhabitants of the Gusii land. It is heavily populated.
Several American missionaries have worked with us for sometime. But now we are on our own.
Recently we were blessed with allocation of land (2acres) by the Gusii County Council. Our prayer is some day the church will be able to utilize this piece of land for projects like: Bible school and posibly a health clinic center.
